When Does the Tasting Happen?
Typically, here at Lucan Spa Hotel, we schedule tastings 2-3 months before your wedding date. This gives you enough time to finalise your menu while keeping things fresh in your mind – and allows our team to source seasonal ingredients as needed. We also use the time to go through all aspects of your wedding day, and such practice allows both the hotel and our couples to establish any “TBCs” or decisions that have yet to be decided.
What Happens on the Day?
Your tasting at Lucan Spa Hotel will be a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Here’s what to expect:
Guests – Our Tastings are provided complimentary for the wedding couple. With that said, couples can bring along guests at an extra charge if they wish to share the experience with friends or family.
Options on dishes – Typically, we pre-arrange two/three dishes per course to be tasted during the wedding tasting. These are served as full portions as it would be on the day of your wedding, to not only allow you to taste everything, but also experience the service and presentation of dishes.
Welcome & Walkthrough – You’ll meet our wedding coordinator who will walk you through the options and what you’ll be tasting.
Wine Pairings – You have the option to select wines to taste also if you wish to do so from our House Wine range.
Feedback & Finalising – You’ll have the chance to give feedback, ask for small tweaks, or swap out dishes. We’ll also confirm dietary needs for your guests. As mentioned above, we also use this time to discuss your wedding holistically and go through our whole wedding planning file.
